Percy FROST (1896 - 1917)

Percy was born in Diss in 1896 to Robert and Ann FROST. He was one of 13 children, 3 of whom died in infancy.

In 1901 at the age of 4 he was living with his family in Vinces Road, in Diss. In 1911 Percy was living with his family at Malting Farm, Brome Road, Thrandeston age 14. He was working as a Yardboy on a Farm.

It is not known when Percy enlisted up, but it is known that he was a Rifleman in the 1st Battalion Rifle Brigade.

Percy died on 26 January 1917 at the age of 20. He is buried at the Fins New British Cemetery, Sorrel Le Grand in France. He has a listing on the Commonwealth War Graves site and was awarded the British and Victory Medals.
