Our next meeting on 19 Jan 2022 - “The Unsavoury Tale of Elijah Snelling from Tivetshall” (Nick Woods) - Diss Bowls Club. 1.45 for 2 p.m. For further details please contact Betty or make contact through this website. Please see the News and Meetings pages for further information on this and all our future meetings as it becomes available.

We are a very friendly independent group interested in the study of family, local and social history throughout the Norfolk and Suffolk borders. Some of our members have Norfolk and Suffolk ancestors but many are researching ancestors from all over Britain. Most of our members live in Norfolk or Suffolk but there are those who live as far away as America.

We have run occasional six-week courses on Family History, using a professional tutor, also afternoon workshops on various subjects such as wills, writing and publishing your family history and reading old handwriting. We have also organised outings to historic places.

We provide a twice-monthly illustrated newsletter of at least twenty pages which is emailed to all our members.
