William Sancroft

William Sancroft was Dean of St Pauls Cathedral in 1664 and became Archbishop of Canterbury in 1668. He was mprisoned in the Tower of London for seditious libel against James II. He refused to take the oath for William and Mary in 1690. He was born and died at Ufford Hall, Fressingfield.
