Harry GRANT, son of Herbert Oscar GRANT (c. 1866-c. 1933) and Annie Maria Frances BOWELL (c. 1866-c. 1942), was born on 4 October 1894 in North Lopham, Norfolk. No military service record has been found for Harry. The absent voters list shows him at the Shop House, North Lopham, S/4/060582 Sgt., 30th L. of C. Supply Co. A.S.C.,with brother Raymond on the same list. He was still named in the two 1919 lists. The British Army World War I Medal Roll shows the same service, but with a rank of Staff Sergeant, and receiving the Meritorious Service Medal. No record has been found for Harry in the 1921 Census. Perhaps he was still in the military at that time. He died on 4 January 1965 in Dickleburgh He had his estate probated on 3 March 1965 in Norwich, Norfolk - ”GRANT Harry of The Post Office Linden House Dickleborough Diss Norfolk died 4 January 1965 Probate Norwich 3 March to Phyllis Evelyn Grant widow and Lorna May Jay married woman. £9461.”
