Thomas Ellis STANNARD was born c. 1877 in Gibralta. He appeared in the census in 1911 at Denmark Green in Diss - 34, coal merchant, living with wife Caroline (31) and children Thomas Ellis Edmund (8), John Edmund (6), Eileen (5), George William (3) and Phyllis (2).¹ He and Caroline RAYNER had the following children:

		Thomas Ellis Edmund STANNARD (c. 1903- ). Thomas was born c. 1903 in Diss. He appeared in the census in 1911 at Denmark Green in Diss - 8, living with parents Thomas Ellis (34, coal merchant) and Caroline (31), and siblings John Edmund (6), Eileen (5), George William (3) and Phyllis (2).¹
		John Edmund STANNARD (c. 1905- ). John was born c. 1905 in Diss. He appeared in the census in 1911 at Denmark Green in Diss - 6, living with parents Thomas Ellis (34, coal merchant) and Caroline (31), and siblings Thomas Ellis Edmund (8), Eileen (5), George William (3) and Phyllis (2).¹
		Eileen STANNARD (1906-c. 1986). Eileen was born on 15 Feb 1906 in Diss.^2,3,4 She was baptised on 23 Mar 1906 in Diss.⁴ She appeared in the census in 1911 at Denmark Green in Diss - 5, living with parents Thomas Ellis (34, coal merchant) and Caroline (31), and siblings Thomas Ellis Edmund (8), John Edmund (6), George William (3) and Phyllis (2).¹ She and Albert George YOUNGMAN had marriage banns published on 4 Oct 1928 in Roydon, Norfolk. - bride from Diss; other banns dates were 11/10/1928 and 18.10.1928.⁵ Eileen married Albert George YOUNGMAN on 9 Dec 1928 in Diss - married after Banns, groom's father a farmer, bride's father a publican. The marriage was witnessed by Thomas E STANNARD and Caroline STANNARD. The ceremony was conducted by Rev. F. P. Law.^6,7 In 1931 the Electoral Register showed her living at Tottington Lane, Roydon, Norfolk - qualification by residence and husband's occupation. Eileen was recorded on the 1939 Register living at 63 Denmark Street in Diss. - unpaid domestic duties, b. 15.02.1906.² Eileen died c. 1986.⁸
		George William STANNARD (c. 1908- ). George was born c. 1908 in Diss. He appeared in the census in 1911 at Denmark Green in Diss - 3, living with parents Thomas Ellis (34, coal merchant) and Caroline (31), and siblings Thomas Ellis Edmund (8), John Edmund (6), Eileen (5) and Phyllis (2).¹
		Phyllis STANNARD (c. 1909- ). Phyllis was born c. 1909 in Diss. She appeared in the census in 1911 at Denmark Green in Diss - 2, living with parents Thomas Ellis (34, coal merchant) and Caroline (31), and siblings Thomas Ellis Edmund (8), John Edmund (6), Eileen (5) and George William (3).¹
