Note on Husband: Richard POTTER

Richard Potter was a flute maker based in London. He opened his business in circa 1745, in Foster Lane, Cheapside. The firm moved to New Street (now Pemberton Row) in 1764, and moved again, to Johnson's Court, before 1786. Richard's son, William Henry, apprenticed under his father, inherited the business on his death in 1806.
