Notes:Monday last the Rev. Ellis Burroughes, A. M. was instituted to the Rectory of Tasburgh in this county, on the presentation of Sir Thomas Beevor, Bart. [Comments: Ellis Burroughes , born 28 Mar 1764 in Long Stratton, was rector of Tasburgh from 17 Dec 1804 to 12 Jan 1832. He had been ordained as a priest on 8 Aug 1790 by the Bishop of Norwich, George Horne and previous to Tasburgh had been rector at Stowlangtoft and Sutton, and stipendary posts at Long Stratton St. Michael and Morningthorpe. Lord of the manors of Stratton Hall, Welham and Reezes. R. of Stowlangtoft, Suffolk, 1790-1831. R. of Sutton, 1796-1804. R. of Tasburgh, Norfolk, 1804-31.
