Norfolk and Suffolk Journal and Diss Express Friday 5th May 1939 Page 4 SOUTH LOPHAM BRITISH LEGION MEETING. At the monthly meeting of the Lopham and District branch of the British Legion, held on Thursday, it was proposed by Mr. T. Alexander (chairman) seconded by Major Hamilton, that the annual drawing match in aid of branch funds should be held in June. The match would be held at Fersfield, on a field kindly loaned by Mr. S. Aves, near the Crown Inn. Mr. Alexander undertook to supply the horses, ploughs and other tackle.
