Norfolk and Suffolk Journal and Diss Express Friday 8th December 1939 BROCKDISH WEDDING The wedding took place at St. Nicholas’ Church, Fundenhall, on Sunday of Mr. Arthur Alan Brasnett, only son of the late Mr. L. Brasnett (late of Fersfield) and Mrs. Brasnett of the Terrace, Brockdish, and Miss Harriet Louisa Rix, daughter of Mr. G. Rix, 8, Council Houses, Fundenhall. Given away by her father, the bride was attired in a dress of rich rust velvet, ankle-length and a small hat with veil to match. Her bouquet consisted of bronze chrysanthemums and trailing fern. Miss J. Canham, cousin of the bride, was the only bridesmaid. She wore a dress of petrol blue velvet trimmed with silver with silver shoes and headdress to match. The Service was conducted by the Rev. Canon Gates (Tasburgh) and Mrs. Coe, at the organ, accompanied the singing of the hymns “Praise my soul the King of Heaven” and “Lead us heavenly Father, lead us.” Mr. Frank Brasnett, cousin of the bridegroom was best man and a reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents. The honeymoon is being spent at Norwich, Mrs. Brasnett travelling in a tweed coat and hat to match.
