Military:No service record has been found for Sidney. A medal index card shows two services: Norfolk Regiment, Private 3482 and Army Service Corps, Private T/388282. He is listed as a North Lopham absent voter in 1918, “388282 Pte., No. 2 M.T. Emb. Co. A.S.C” and is shown in a pension ledger dated 27 December 1919.

Application for Wage Arrears Sidney Wallace Bailey applied for payment of wages amounting to £10 1s 9d due to him for work done from Michael Birkbeck, South Lopham. Birkbeck did not appear to dispute the application.
Bailey stated that he first went to work for Birkbeck in 1934 and the money was due for a period between May and September, 1935. His weekly wage had been fixed at £1 11s 6d. The Bench gave judgement in favour of the application and awarded him 14/6 costs.

MR. S. W. BAILEY
(Garboldisham)
THE funeral took place at St. Andrew's Church, Blo' Norton, of Mr. Sidney Wallace Bailey, who had died very suddenly at his home. The Rev. V. Sharpe, Rector of Garboldisham with Blo' Norton officiated.
Family mourners were: Mr. Leonard Bailey, Mr. Reginald Bailey, Mr. Ernest Bailey and Mr. Roy Bailey, sons; Mr. and Mrs. C. Boggis and Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Davey, sons-in-law and daughters; Mr. A. Fincham, son-in-law; Mrs. B. Reeve, sister; Mr. O. Bowell, brother-in-law; and Mr. R. Bailey and Mr. J. Reeve, nephews.
Unable to attend were the widow, Mrs. A. Fincham (daughter), Mrs. B. Fitrzgerald (daughter, who is in the U.S.A.) and Mrs E. Bailey and Mrs R Bailey (daughters-in-law).
Funeral arrangements were by Mr. E. C. Thurlow, of Hopton.
