Death:	1962
Military:	Friday was attested into the army and pronounced fit on 30 April 1906. He was appointed to the Norfolk Regiment, and posted to the 4th Battalion on 3 May 1906, Private 5766. No further details of Friday’s service were found until the War Office Service Medal And Award Rolls Index shows him as Corporal 7263, of the 1st Norfolk Regiment. (The 1911 Census gives one point of reference to where he served.)
