Edward Miles HALES was born c. 1897. He died c. 1974. He married Flora BULLEN.

Flora BULLEN, daughter of James BULLEN (c. 1855-c. 1921) and Emma LAST (1856-1940), was born c. 1895 in Diss, Norfolk. She appeared in the census in 1901 at Shelfanger Road in Diss - age 6, living with parents James (45, grocer) and Emma (44), and siblings Joe (11) and Jessie (9).¹ She was baptised on 15 Jan 1909 in Diss. - baptised as an adult along with sister Emma, parents James and Emma, father a shopkeeper, living at Shelfanger Road in Diss.²
