ACCIDENT

Mrs. Mullenger, of Thelveton, had a narrow escape from serious injury on Wednesday afternoon.

She was cycling towards Diss when a collision occurred between a lorry owned by T. Drane, of Upper Weybread and driven by A. Bloomfield, and a car driven by Jabez Ribbons, Diss, took place on Frenze Bridge. As a result the car ran across the road into Mrs. Mullinger, forcing her into the hedge. Mrs. Mullenger sustained slight injuries but her cycle was smashed.

Jabez experienced 1939 Registration in 1939 in Diss.¹⁰ b. 17.07.1878, oil salesman, living with wife Sarah (b. 15.01.1874, unpaid domestic duties), son John L (b. 29.07.1917, shop assistant out fitting), and two others. Jabez died c. 1962.¹⁵ He and Sarah Lydia WOLTON had the following children:
