Frederic OAKES (c. 1864-c. 1899)

Frederic OAKES, son of Hezekiah OAKES (c. 1841-c. 1932) and Rebecca AVES (c. 1841-c. 1915), was born c. 1864 in Diss, Norfolk. He appeared in the census in 1881 at Chapel Street in Diss - 17, brushmaker, living with parents Hezekiah (40, brushmaker) and Rebecca (40), siblings Sophia (14, scholar), Edith (12, scholar), Edward (10, scholar), Florence (9, scholar), Martha (7, scholar), and Maude (3, scholar), nephew Edward Aves (1), and cousin George JEFFERIES (13, brushmaker).¹ He died c. 1899.
