She appeared in the census in 1911 at Tottington, Roydon, Norfolk in Roydon - 11, living with parents Harry [Henry] (39, farmer) and Alice (42) and siblings Harry (18, fowl dealer), Albert (8), Bertie (6), Leonard (4) and Ivy (under 1 month).¹

Albert George YOUNGMAN (1902-1970). Albert was born on 25 Apr 1902.^2,3 He appeared in the census in 1911 at Tottington, Roydon, Norfolk in Roydon - 8, living with parents Harry [Henry] (39, farmer) and Alice (42) and siblings Harry (18, fowl dealer), Edith (11), Bertie (6), Leonard (4) and Ivy (under 1 month).¹ In 1923 the Electoral Register showed him living at - Autumn Register, qualification by residence. Albert and Eileen STANNARD had marriage banns published on 4 Oct 1928 in Roydon. - bride from Diss; other banns dates were 11/10/1928 and 18.10.1928.⁴ Albert married Eileen STANNARD on 9 Dec 1928 in Diss, Norfolk - married after Banns, groom's father a farmer, bride's father a publican. The marriage was witnessed by Thomas E STANNARD and Caroline STANNARD. The ceremony was conducted by Rev. F. P. Law.^5,6 On 14 Dec 1928 there was a newspaper report: Diss Express, 14 December 1928

Wedding Bells

MR. A. G. YOUNGMAN and MISS E. STANNARD

A pretty wedding was solemnised at the Parish Church, Diss, on Sunday morning, the contracting parties being Mr. Albert George Youngman, son of Mr. and Mrs. H. Youngman, farmer of Tottington, Roydon, and Miss Eileen Stannard, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. T. E. Stannard, of The Cock Inn, Denmark Street, Diss. The bride, who was given away by her father, presented a charming picture in a dress of white silk, trimmed with lace. She also wore a veil and a wreath of orange blossom and carried a bouquet of arum lilies. She was attended by three bridesmaids, the Misses Freda and Bell Stannard, sisters of the bride, and Miss Ivy Youngman, sister of the bridegroom, who all wore pink silk frocks, with hand painted trimmings. They carried bouquets of white chrysanthemums. Mr. Jack Stannard, brother of the bride, officiated best man, and the ceremony was performed by the Rev. F. P. Law.

A reception was afterwards held at the home of the bride's parents. The happy pair, who were the recipients of over 60 valuable and useful presents, are making their home at Roydon for the present. In 1929 the Electoral Register showed him living at Tottington Lane, Roydon, Norfolk - qualification by residence. In 1931 the Electoral Register showed him living at Tottington Lane, Roydon, Norfolk - qualification by residence and occupation. GUST OF WIND CAUSES ACCIDENT

When negotiating a bend in the road between Wortham and Redgrave on Thursday evening of last week, Mr. William Charles Reeve, of Pike Lane, Thetford, who was riding a motor cycle, was caught by a sudden gust of wind with the result that he lost control of his machine and crashed into a motor car, proceeding towards Wortham, and driven by Mr. Albert George Youngman, of Tottington Road, Roydon. Reeve sustained a fractured right leg, and after being attended to by Dr. K. L. Ward of Botesdale, he was conveyed to the Thetford Hospital by the Diss Ambulance. The front part of the motor cycle and the off-side wing, running board, door panel and tool box of the motor vehicle were damaged. Licensing Business

The licence of "The Cock" Inn, Denmark Street was transferred from Caroline Stannard to Albert George Youngman and ….... Albert was recorded on the 1939 Register living at 63 Denmark Street, Diss Norfolk in Diss. - fish merchant, b. 25.04.1902.² Albert died on 9 Aug 1970 in New Maldon, Surrey.⁷ He was buried on 19 Aug 1970 in Roydon, the ceremony was conducted by Rev. Charles SIMPSON, curate. - cremated in New Maldon, Surrey. Albert had his estate probated on 30 Nov 1970 in Ipswich, Suffolk - "YOUNGMAN Albert George of 21 Lyndhurst Dv New Malden Sy died 9 August 1970 Probate Ipswich 30 November. £1747.".⁸

Bertie YOUNGMAN (c. 1905- ). Bertie was born c. 1905 in Roydon. He appeared in the census in 1911 at Tottington, Roydon, Norfolk in Roydon - 6, living with parents Harry [Henry] (39, farmer) and Alice (42) and siblings Harry (18, fowl dealer), Edith (11), Albert (8), Leonard (4) and Ivy (under 1 month).¹
